Shelbourne Senior Living is dedicated to providing
the best possible quality in everything we do in
terms of our residents, their friends and relatives,
our team members and the wider community that we
work with.
Our Values and Mission statement are more than words
on paper - they are principles that each member of
the Shelbourne residential care team are encouraged
to practise everyday and are part of a genuine
company ethos.
Importantly our collective expertise will ensure
long term security for our residents and our team.
New Managers for The Shelbourne at Sway
TWO team members at a New Forest senior living
community have been promoted over the Christmas
period. Gina Markham and Maggie Tomlin, both experts
in their own fields, are now Operations Managers at
The Shelbourne at Sway, having worked there since
before it opened.
Gina joined The Shelbourne in March 2008 as Assisted
Living Registered Manager. Her responsibilities will
still include overseeing care in 35 rooms within the
main building and in 14 support cottages. She comes
from a background in the care industry and has
worked extensively with the elderly and those with
learning difficulties and mental health problems.
Maggie continues to run Nostalgia Neighbourhood, The
Shelbourne’s dedicated area for those with dementia,
and has also been promoted. She has more than 20
years’ experience in the care industry, which
includes experience in dementia care, physically
frail, rehabilitation, caring for the terminally
ill.
Gina said: "Both Maggie and I were at Shelbourne
before it opened and recall walking through the
building with our hard hats on. It is hard to
believe that we are now approaching our two year
mark, having supported one another along the way."
Maggie added: "We both have a great sense of humour
and have quickly adapted to our new roles - it's a
big bonus for a senior living community to have
Operations Managers who get directly involved in
care. Both of us look forward to working closely
with the O’Flynn group, which owns Shelbourne Senior
Living."
